Users: any/all people who’ve signed up for MysticBots, whether active or not
Group(s): any/all groups created by a User and administered by one or more people
Group Member(s): a User who is also a member of a Group you are in
Personal Information: User name, email
Services: MysticBots functionality from enrollment thru all app functionality, e.g., messaging, photos, notes, calendar, to dos, and account mgmt.
User Content: Any/all information shared or posted within a Group
MysticBots: Application owned by MysticBots Pvt. Ltd.
Privacy Policy
MysticBots is a private space that facilitates communication amongst defined groups of people. Groups can message, share photos, organize notes, manage to dos, and synchronize calendars. MysticBots is a private app without advertising, data mining, or selling of User data to anyone, anywhere. Data and usage information is not used for the purposes of third-party marketing or sold for any marketing endeavors.
The MysticBots privacy policy describes how we collect data via the app and use your information whenever you use our services. Including the app itself, the website, and any other services that link to our products. We do not use cookies on the website or track individual users in anyway. If users "Contact Us" via the website their email is captured via a third-party (Freshdesk) so that we may responded to customer inquiries. We do not use those emails for any purposes other than responding to those inquiries. Those emails stay within the Freshdesk data environment and are not downloaded by MysticBots.
We may change or modify the Privacy Policy at any time and in our sole discretion. We will provide notice of such changes by sending an in-app notification, posting a notice on the our website, or updating the "Last Updated" date above. Your continued use of the Services will confirm your acceptance of the revised Policy. We encourage you to periodically review the Privacy Policy to ensure you understand the conditions that apply to your use of the Services. If you do not agree to the amended Privacy Policy, you must stop using the Services and inform us that you want to delete your MysticBots account. You can do so here.
What we collect from you:
At the point of registration we collect the basic information that you provide us to set up your account. This includes your first/surname, your email address, and password. We also collect the email addresses of those that you invite to MysticBots and add to Groups.
In order to use the Services you agree that you will have to provide MysticBots with your name and email address. You also agree that to add Users to Groups you will provide MysticBots with access to your address book through the Address Book API. You also agree that to add users to Groups you allow MysticBots to facilitate email invites to your Groups at your request.
How we use data:
We only use the data that has been collected to help us understand how we can serve our Users better and ensure that we’re making MysticBots works they way Users expect it to. This includes but not exclusive to:
Usage information: We collect aggregated information on the way Users interact with MysticBots, e.g., average number of groups, which features of the app are used most/least frequently, average number of users per group
Identity credentials: Information to verify user identity and prevent fraudulent use
Email: We collect the emails of those you invite to MysticBots for the purpose of sending them an email invite through the App and adding them to your groups
Customer Support: Information we may obtain during Users conversations with our support team
Age requirement:
User must be 13 years old to create an account or should otherwise get parent/guardian permission.
Facebook Login:
If you you choose to create your MysticBots account using your Facebook credentials, MysticBots will only access your name, email and Facebook profile photo to create your account. No other data is collected or used.
Information we access on your device:
To enable adding Group Members, photos to Groups and syncing Events we access your device’s phonebook, photos, and calendar. We access this content simply for the purposes of adding to MysticBots or sharing with your phone at your request. We do not use this content for any other purpose.
Who owns the Groups content/data?:
MysticBots does not own any User submitted content/data associated within any/all Groups, i.e., messages, photos, notes. All ownership and responsibility belongs to the Administrators and Users of the Groups.
As part of any legal investigation(s) we may be required to share information that you have provided within specific Group(s) named. This will only be made available as part of an applicable law, rule or regulation required.
The GDPR has been enacted in order to provide you with certain rights related to your personal data which we abide by. Our policies align as follows:
Right to complain. If you have concerns about how we have used your personal data you can contact us here.
Right to access your data. To do so make the request here and we will respond within 1 month as required by law. Within that time, we will provide you with a copy of your personal data which includes your profile, usage and content that is accessible through the groups linked to your account.
Right to be forgotten. If you delete your account we may retain the data for a period of up to 60 days so that you can reinstate your account and access the information. Beyond that, your personal data is permanently deleted and no longer available. Some information such as group chat history or shared group content isn't stored exclusively in your account and this means other groups members would have access to it moving forward. Right to request the transfer of your personal data to a third party. To do so make the request here and we will respond
within 1 month unless there are exceptional circumstances. We'll use secure methods to transfer the data in a commonly used format.
Data security:
Our platform is built on leading software that has been implemented with commercially reasonable precautions including password protection, encryption, SSL, firewalls, and internal restrictions on who may access data to protect the information collected from loss, misuse, and unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. However, no data security measures are guaranteed and, despite our best efforts to protect your data, we can't guarantee it's safety 100%. Your use of MysticBots acknowledges that you understand that.
We don't sell your data:
MysticBots is a private app without advertising, data mining, or selling of User data to anyone, anywhere. Data and usage information is not used for the purposes of marketing or sold/shared for any marketing endeavors.
Data retention policy:
If your account has been inactive for a period of more than 3 years we will delete your account and all associated personal data.
Other MysticBots Group Members that are connected to you via MysticBots will see:
Your user name and profile photo
Messages, posts, photos, content, to dos and events that you share
Comments to messages, posts, and photos within a Group
Other MysticBots Group Members do not see what other Groups you are a member of.
What Non-Users and other Users Could See:
Non-Users that you invite to MysticBots will see your user name and email address in the invitation you send them to join
We can’t prevent Users from capturing and saving messages and photos by taking a screenshot. However, we do offer the option to be alerted if a Group Member does this
What We Do With Your Information:
We will use the information that you provide to deliver the best experience we can and to continue to serve you better, e.g., deliver the functionality of the application, improve app performance and functionality based on data insights and trends, manage customer issues with the app, etc.
MysticBots does not monitor or administer, edit or curate any Group/User content.
